DOUBLE MAST ELECTRODEPOSITION EQUIPMENT – EDP 9002
What do I measure ?
After trapping the radio-isotop, the metallic plates are placed into another equipment (spectrometer or other) for quantity determination
APPLICATIONS This appliance is usable in all laboratories which look for radionucleid presence : nuclear medicine, research and control of parameters linked to the environmental field and all laboratories which have to measure transuraniens, actinides and radionucleids in general.
Designed in association with:
The COGEMA (french nuclear institute)
Key advantages
1. SYNTHETIC MATERIALS.
2. TEMPERATURE CONTROL OF THE SOLUTION.
3. THREE SIZES OF SOLUTION CONTAINERS.
4. QUICK SCREW/UNSCREW.
5. EASY MAINTENANCE BY OPERATOR.
6. REVERSE POLARITY SWITCH.
7. INDEPENDANT TIMER.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
A specific electrode is diped in the solution which contains radio-isotopes.
This specific electrode, in rotary movement, represents the anode of a system whose cathode will be a small metallic plate fixed at the bottom of the cell (or bottle of electrolysis).
A direct controled and constant current is then applied to this solution and will entail, by electrolysis (chemical decomposition of elements to study in the solution), the galvanic deposit of radio-isotope(s) inside the solution.
